Lunar Rust is a community Rust server. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the servers, the store and support. We don't sell your data and we don't run advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Steam account — when you sign in with Steam we receive your Steam ID, display name and avatar through Steam's OpenID. We never see your Steam password.
- Purchases — order reference, product, amount and the Steam ID the perk is granted to. Payments are processed by PayNow; card and billing details are handled by them, not by us.
- Support tickets — the messages and any attachments you send us.
- Technical data — your IP address is processed briefly for rate limiting and abuse protection, plus standard server logs and live server query data (player counts, map).
How we use it
- Grant and manage VIP perks on your account.
- Operate the store and keep a record of purchases for accounting.
- Reply to your support tickets.
- Protect the site and servers from abuse.
- Show live community presence (player counts, Discord activity).
Third parties
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Steam — sign-in and public profile.
- PayNow — payment processing.
- Discord — community presence and purchase notifications.
- Our hosting provider — stores the site and database.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms (CSRF). There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Retention & your rights
Purchase records are kept for accounting; other data is removed when it is no longer needed. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it — reach out through our Discord and we'll handle it.
